Frankie, Frankie, Frankie...
Mobland, Frankie Cooper
I am kind of obsessed with this character right now.
It all started when Frankie Cooper began his takeover on MobLand. That scene where he's walking toward the bathroom to get Bella, kicks the door in, takes off his mask, and points the gun, all while The Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up is playing.
I mean... come on.
First of all, I hadn't heard that song in forever. Second, the whole scene was so nervously exciting.
I don't know, Guy Ritchie must have decided to make up for whatever happened with The Gentlemen Season 2. Because that sucked. Sorry, that's another conversation for another day.
Anyway, back to Frankie.
This man has been SERVING mobster. The attitude, the confidence, the complete disregard for everyone around him. He's not even trying to be likable, and somehow that's exactly what makes him so entertaining to watch.
Now, I'm sure the Harrigans will eventually come out on top and Frankie will disappear into the great television graveyard of characters I wasn't ready to let go of. But until then?
I'm enjoying every minute of it.
And whoever decided to cast Johnny Flynn as Frankie Cooper knew exactly what they were doing.
They got me!
I know new episodes drop on Fridays, but I've officially made MobLand my Sunday must-watch on Paramount+.
